Explore the Marketing Cloud Intelligence Marketplace

Note

Datorama is now Marketing Cloud Intelligence.

Learning Objectives

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Navigate the Marketing Cloud Intelligence Marketplace.
  • Identify the Marketplace components and how to use them.

What Is the Marketing Cloud Intelligence Marketplace?

The Marketing Cloud Intelligence Marketplace is a collection of tools and products that you can download and customize to enhance your marketing intelligence solutions.

Marketing Cloud Intelligence’s Marketplace contains three different types of products: Apps, Connectors, and Add-On Features. Let’s take a look at each of these.

  • Apps: Marketplace Apps are tools that you can download to get ready-made, marketing intelligence views within seconds. Once an app is installed, different Marketing Cloud Intelligence components—such as data streams, calculations, or dashboards—are installed in your workspace, allowing you full control of your views. These out-of-the-box solutions have no learning curve or code requirements. Apps like these can significantly reduce your time to value, even if your workspace doesn’t have a lot of data yet.
  • Connectors: The Marketplace Connectors tab is the place to go when you are looking for additional connectors that are not part of Marketing Cloud Intelligence’s core offering. Here you can find connectors that were developed by partners and other third-party vendors, as well as Marketing Cloud Intelligence. It’s important to note that none of your account data will be provided to partners when installing a connector. Once you install a connector, you can use it to create a data stream with no extra customizations needed.
  • Add-on features: The Add-On Features tab is a centralized location for all of Marketing Cloud Intelligence’s add-ons. Add-on features are Marketing Cloud Intelligence functionalities that extend the capabilities of the platform, and can be enabled for free or at an extra cost. Some examples of add-on features include executive workspace, Media Cost Center, and Data Lake. In this tab, you can explore Marketing Cloud Intelligence’s add-ons for yourself. With each add-on, you receive a short explanatory video along with a guide that explains everything you need to know. You can even request to have the add-on enabled in your account right within the Marketplace.
Note

The Add-On Features tab isn't covered in detail in this module. Head over to the tab for yourself and see how easy it is to request access to additional Marketing Cloud Intelligence features.

In this module, we assume you’re a Marketing Cloud Intelligence user with the proper permissions to take the actions described. If you’re not a Marketing Cloud Intelligence user, that’s OK. Read along to learn how you would take the steps in the product. Don’t try to follow these steps in your Trailhead Playground. Marketing Cloud Intelligence isn’t available in the Trailhead Playground. Let’s begin.

To access the Marketplace, simply log into the Marketing Cloud Intelligence platform with your username and password. Then, select the Marketplace tab.

  2. Search: Search for a solution.
  3. Sort: Sort the list by name, date released, and more.
  4. Order: Change the order of the listed solutions to ascending or descending (based on the sort option).
  5. Go to Installed SolutionsOnce you install solutions in your workspace, you can then view and manage them here.
  6. View Apps, Connectors, and the Add-On Features tabs: View available apps, connectors, and add-ons that you can download directly to your workspace.
