Set up CDS and ERI

Learning Objectives

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Set up Compliant Data Sharing for ARC.
  • Set up Einstein Relationship Insights for ARC.

Extend ARC’s Capabilities

Actionable Relationship Center (ARC) can integrate two existing features to extend its capabilities—Compliant Data Sharing (CDS) and Einstein Relationship Insights (ERI). Integrating ARC with either feature is optional.

CDS allows controlled sharing of customer data with stakeholders in a safe and compliant manner. To use CDS with ARC and complete the steps in this unit, first finish the Compliant Data Sharing in Financial Services Cloud module, and then come back here to continue.

ERI is an AI-powered tool that helps you discover new sales opportunities by surfacing prospective business entities and accounts. The feature is available as a separate add-on license. To use ERI with ARC and complete the steps in the unit, first finish the Einstein Relationship Insights Basics module, and then come back here to continue.

Prepare Your Org for Compliant Data Sharing

Success at Cumulus is a result of teamwork. Ryan often has to collaborate and share sensitive client details with the members of his wealth management team. So he wants precise control over what details of his client he’s sharing, with whom, and to what level. That’s exactly what CDS specializes in.

Matt enables CDS for the Account object and assigns CDS permission to Ryan. He checks with Ryan about the team members who need access to CDS and assigns them the permission too. Here’s what he does.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter object enable and select Object Enablement Settings.
  2. Enable Account.
  3. In the Quick Find box, enter permission, and select Permission Sets.
  4. Click Compliant Data Sharing User permission.
  5. Click Manage Assignments, and then Add Assignments.
  6. Select Dobson, Ryan. Matt also selects the members of the wealth management team that Ryan has suggested.
  7. Click Assign.
  8. Review the changes and click Done.

Add Compliant Data Sharing to ARC

Matt proceeds to configure CDS for ARC. He adds the Participants tab to the side panel, and the Account Participants related list to the account page.

  1. Add the Participants tab.
    1. Click Setup | Setup | Object Manager tab.
    2. Click Account | Lightning Record Pages | Client Record Page.
    3. Click Edit.
    4. In Lightning App Builder, click the ARC tab and then the ARC - Financial Services Cloud component.
    5. In the Properties Pane, enable Show participants.
The Properties pane with Show participants enabled.
    6. Click Save.
    7. Click back arrow  to exit Lightning App Builder.
  2. Add the Account Participants related list component.
    1. Click Setup | Setup | Object Manager tab.
    2. Click Account | Page Layouts | Account (Individual) Layout.
    3. In the object palette, click Related Lists.
    4. Drag and drop Account Participants on to the Related Lists section.
    5. Click Save and then Yes.

The Participants tab appears in the side panel beside the Details tab. Ryan can now easily share any account record from ARC.

Prepare Your Org for Einstein Relationship Insights

Ryan is always on the lookout for new clients. But he gets most of them through manual referrals. With ERI, Ryan can use AI-powered searching capabilities to find prospective clients quickly.

The ERI Growth permission set license is required to configure and use ERI. So Matt assigns the license to Ryan and himself by following the steps in Set Up Einstein Relationship Insights on ARC.

Add Einstein Relationship Insights to ARC

Matt adds the Insights tab to the side panel the way he added the Participants tab.

  1. Open Adams Household account.
  2. Click Setup and then Edit Page.
  3. In Lightning App Builder, click the ARC tab and then ARC - Financial Services Cloud component.
  4. In the Properties Pane, enable Show Insights.

  5. Click Save.

The Insights tab appears in the side panel beside the Details and Participants tabs.

In this unit, Matt successfully integrated CDS and ERI with ARC. And with that, his job of setting up ARC is done. In the next unit, Ryan takes over and uses ARC in his daily workflow. Onward and upward!
