A Day in the Life of a Salesforce Sales Manager
Meeting with a potential prospect to view a demo of the product. On mornings where no customer calls are scheduled this time would be reserved for customer prospecting and following up on leads in Salesforce.
Spend time working on existing deals in the pipeline and try to advance them in the sales cycle. This can be anything from email follow-up, calls into champions, or strategy sessions with management.
Working lunch to meet with business development rep to see how things are going with regard to prospecting. Brainstorm ideas for new accounts to target and general status info about the territory.
Internal team meeting and training to get info on latest product update.
Research on industry trends related to business. Reading Google news alerts for top tier accounts, local business or tech journals.
Follow-up on sales operation tasks, updating Salesforce, managing calendar and completing expense reports.
Prioritize tasks for the following day. Schedule high-priority action items and calls in Salesforce.
