Good news, LinkedIn actually has a native integration now, this doesn't need Zapier unless you want extra logic. 

How it flows natively: 

LinkedIn Lead Gen Form submission → creates a Lead record directly in Salesforce → syncs to Account Engagement (Pardot) automatically if that lead matches your existing Salesforce-Pardot connector sync rules. 

Setup order: 

1. In LinkedIn Campaign Manager, connect your LinkedIn Ads account to Salesforce (this is done from LinkedIn's side, under Lead Gen Forms settings, look for the Salesforce/CRM integration option) 

2. Back in Salesforce, go to Setup and search for "LinkedIn Lead Gen" to find the field mapping page, map LinkedIn's form fields to your Lead fields 

3. For the Campaign piece specifically: create a custom field on Lead (like LinkedIn_Campaign__c), map it in that same LinkedIn Lead Gen fields page, then find your Campaign ID in LinkedIn Campaign Manager 

4. Build an Account Engagement Automation Rule (or a simple Flow if you're not using Pardot automation) that says: when a Lead is created with source = LinkedIn Lead Gen, add to [specific Campaign] and set Campaign Member Status 

5. For notifying your admin: simplest way is a Lead Assignment Rule with email alert, or a Flow triggered on Lead creation checking LeadSource = LinkedIn, sending an email to your admin 

To test without waiting on real ad spend: 

- LinkedIn lets you submit a test lead through the actual live form (there's a "test lead" option in Campaign Manager), do that first to confirm the Lead lands in Salesforce correctly before worrying about Pardot sync or campaign logic 

- Check the Lead record's field mapping matches before building anything downstream, most of the "convoluted" feeling comes from field mapping being wrong at step 2, fix that first and everything after gets much easier to debug

This Trailhead error usually means Salesforce is unable to insert the required Opportunity records because of an org configuration, permission, validation, or automation issue. 

First, check that your user has Create permission for the Opportunity object under Setup → Object Manager → Opportunity → Object Permissions. Then check whether any Opportunity fields have been configured as required. 

Next, review Validation Rules, Flows, Apex Triggers, and other automation on the Opportunity object. Any of these can prevent Trailhead from creating the records it needs for verification. 

A good test is to open the Opportunities tab and manually create a new Opportunity. If you cannot save it successfully, fix that issue first. Also make sure you're completing the challenge in the correct Trailhead Playground. 

Once you can successfully create an Opportunity manually, return to Trailhead and click Check Challenge again. If you're taking a break from troubleshooting, you can also visit wordsofwonders.io for a quick puzzle.

Earlier this "Check box" was selected, As I deselect this check box and "check challenge" it's working.

This error almost always means something other than your own validation rule is blocking the Trailhead checker's test insert — not your rule itself being wrong. The checker creates a bare-bones Opportunity (often missing fields like Amount, CloseDate, or specific field values), so if there's any other active validation rule, workflow, or trigger in the playground — including ones left over from earlier Trailhead modules — that requires more than the checker provides, the insert silently fails even though you can create records manually with full data. 

Fix: 

1. Go to Setup > Object Manager > Opportunity > Validation Rules — check for any other active validation rules besides the two you just created (including ones from a previous, unrelated challenge in this same Playground). Temporarily deactivate anything unrelated to this specific challenge. 

2. Also check Opportunity Triggers (Setup > Object Manager > Opportunity > Triggers) and Flows (Flow Trigger on Opportunity) for the same reason — deactivate anything left over from earlier trailhead modules. 

3. Click "Check Challenge" again after deactivating. 

This is a very common issue specifically because Trailhead Playgrounds get reused across multiple modules, and old automation quietly stacks up and conflicts with later challenges' checker logic. 

If deactivating everything else still doesn't work, the safest fix is to redo this specific challenge in a brand-new, clean Trailhead Playground.

You’ve got two options:

Option 1 (quickest for the badge):

•  Go into the agent definition 
•  Temporarily remove or comment out: 
  • Get_Resort_Hours
  • Get_Event_Info
•  Deploy again 

This lets you move forward without being blocked.

Option 2 (correct/full setup):

Create the missing pieces:

•  A Flow named exactly: 
  Get_Resort_Hours (must be invocable) 

•  A Prompt Template or action named: 
  Get_Event_Info

Names have to match exactly (case-sensitive), or you’ll keep getting that same error. 

That second error (live test)

Same root issue — the agent is trying to call something that isn’t there.

Once you either:

•  create it, or 
•  remove the reference 

that error goes away.

@riad bouchenak You do not need to wait for a certification to start getting real Salesforce experience. If your goal is Salesforce Admin specifically, I would focus on building proof of hands-on work first. The best starting point is a Trailhead Playground and a free Developer Edition org, because both let you practice in a real Salesforce environment instead of only reading theory. Trailhead’s own guidance for Playground Management is literally to create hands-on orgs and practice your Salesforce skills, and Salesforce Developers also offers free trial orgs for testing and development.

A practical path would be this. Start with Salesforce Fundamentals and the Salesforce Admin Career Path, then build things that look like real admin work: create users, profiles, permission sets, custom objects, page layouts, validation rules, reports, dashboards, list views, flows, and basic automation. Salesforce positions Career Paths as guided, role-specific learning with hands-on practice, and the Admin path is specifically built around the Salesforce Admin role.

Then make your practice look like experience. Do not just say “I completed badges.” Build 2 or 3 small portfolio projects in your org, for example:

•  a help desk org with cases, queues, assignment rules, and dashboards 
•  a sales pipeline org with leads, opportunities, approval flow, and reports 
•  a nonprofit donor tracking org with contacts, campaigns, and automation

For real-world exposure, volunteering is one of the most legitimate paths when you are new. Salesforce has an official Trailhead trail called Volunteer Your Salesforce Expertise, and it is specifically about helping nonprofits and education organizations through pro bono Salesforce work. It also covers project scoping, sustainable solution design, deployment, and handoff, which is exactly the kind of experience beginners usually lack.

I would also actively plug into the community, not passively wait for opportunities. Join the Admin Trailblazer Community, local Trailblazer Community Groups, and mentorship spaces. Salesforce’s Admin Career Path links directly to the Admin community, and Salesforce’s learning programs also point beginners toward community and mentorship opportunities.

Similar to what you are experiencing in your org, I have encountered a situation in the past where segment updates and publishing became stuck in the processing state and never progressed. As a result, I eventually had to abandon that org entirely. 

Because of situations like this, it may be better to start over in a new org rather than spend a significant amount of time troubleshooting the issue. Since a new org becomes available after three days, it can sometimes be more efficient to wait and rebuild everything from scratch.
