Hands-on challenges are the “secret sauce” of Trailhead. Before searching for solutions to superbadge challenges, review the Salesforce Certification Program Agreement and Policies.

Hello -

Trying to complete the challenge where adding Google Social Sign-On to the Partners org.

I believe I've followed the steps, create the Provider, updated the Apex Class from the Git, added to page but when I go to login, receiving, "We can't log you in becasue of the following error. NO_ACCESS: Unable to find a user.

I've created a user with the gmail account I am trying to login with so not sure what else might be causing an issue.

I created a new email account with a completely NEW username (in my case that was a new Gmail username/email) and used this new username when entering a PARTNERS portal with Google.  And of course, this user must be with a Partners profile, but you already knew that. :)

I believe the issue is because in the section "Create a Self Registration Page" under the "Register a New Customer" (login page, click on "Not a member?") we had to register a new CUSTOMER and make up a completely new customer and use our email address. In my case, my email address is my USERNAME. And when I tried to log in with Google to PARTNERS portal, naturally I used that same username (because it is the only one I have), and the Partners portal didn't allow me to log in because this username already existed with a previously created customer user created for CUSTOMER portal (Salesforce created that username behind the scene when registering a new customer), and I was getting "NO_ACCESS: User was not authorized for the community".

    Hope this was helpful!

I'm completing the "Assign the Login Flow and Test It in Your Portal" on the Self-Registration in a Portal moudle, but I am having trouble with the test at the end. I was able to assign the Privacy Setting Log-in flow to the site, but when I try to test creating a new user, I get the following error:

Your request cannot be processed at this time. The site administrator has been alerted

When I check the email, it says the following:

Customer_Account_Portal registration accountId parameter value is not valid.

Is this an issue with the flow itself?

Try:

  • Checking the connection
  • Checking the proxy, firewall, and DNS configuration
  • Running Windows Network Diagnostics

ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

Reload

Hide details

Check your Internet connection

Check any cables and reboot any routers, modems, or other network devices you may be using.

Check your DNS settings

Contact your network administrator if you're not sure what this means.

Try disabling network prediction

Go to the Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings… and deselect "Use a prediction service to load pages more quickly." If this does not resolve the issue, we recommend selecting this option again for improved performance.

Allow Chrome to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.

If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.

If you use a proxy server…

Check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server: Go to the Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings… > Change proxy settings… > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN".
