Hi all - I am trying to add a chart to my tableau dashboard. The dashboard has a date filter on BUSINESS_DATE. I would like my chart to plot the previous 7 days from the selected dashboard date.
Looking for some help and guidance with this.

Your parameter becomes the chosen date, yes, because if you're using your date as a filter then you're removing data...attached is an example. Parameters are always (currently) single select, so you'll only be choosing one date from a list of dates based on your Business Date. There are two methods in the attached.
