I've downloaded the new version of Tableau Public (2020.1) and see the animations option under format. However, when I turn animation on (see image below) and then try sorts and filters, they are not animating. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Amelia,
Unfortunately, there was a defect with the new Viz Animations feature that prevented animations from appearing in Tableau Public (the downloadable install). Note that when you publish/save your workbook to the Tableau Public Server, the animations will appear. This defect should be fixed shortly. Apologies for the inconvenience.
