Is it possible to automate list view creation?

For example, my company does much of its work with a junction object (SCR) that connects a custom object (search) to contacts. For every search, there are 4 standard views we use to look at SCR records attached to the search. Is there a way to set up a process that will automatically create those views, flitering on the lookup relationship with the search? We need to be able to view, sort by various columns, and mass update (either in-line or with an extension) SCR records. Any wisdom?

    Hi Paul - I think I wasn't clear enough! We have list views (and some add ons) that do what we need them to - but there need to be about 200 views in circulation at any point. I'm looking for a solution that will either automatically create list views based on certain criteria, or let me mass edit list views (for example, all list views that filter field A by criteria Z need to have field B added to the layout) OR an option for some other way of filtering and mass viewing and editing records that is similarly able to be managed at the meta level. Many thanks for your idea!
