I need to archive all my lost or won opportunities but they should be searchable in search results because my production data storage limit is very close to the dead line and don't want to go for other options. There are many opportunities in the system which are 2-3 yrs old and dont want to delete them either.
Please help me in solving this issue and tell me the accurate solution for archiving opportunities and getting it into search results as well.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

@Sindoora : I dont want to swich to different instance while searching opprtunities in a production org. Any other solutions would be a great help.
