Using territory assignment for reporting on target of analytic snapshot.

I am having trouble with reporting on a custom object which is the target of an analytic snapshot.  I need the report to use territory assignment to allow users to see only accounts within their territory.

 

The source report is based on account, but I could not link to account in the target object because the target object must not be a detail object in a master-detail relationship.  I have the account name, but since I can't link to the account object, territory assignment rules are not in effect.

    Can you explain more fully what you are trying to accomplish?
