Use Real-Time Reports
Gustavo has created customer business plans (CBPs) and account plan views for both NTO accounts. Now it’s time for more business-planning goodness. He discovers that he can create real-time account plan reports and embed them on the promotion page. An embedded report provides a visual representation of how a promotion impacts account plan KPIs in real time.
Set Up an Account Plan Report
An account plan report shows a list of products with their planned volume.
Before creating an account plan report, Gustavo makes sure that his promotion KPI set has a subset with all the promotion KPIs he wants to see in the report, including planned promotional volume, planned total volume, and target volume to name a few. He also works with his Salesforce admin to build a report at the category level with the promotion KPIs.
Gustavo now embeds this report in the promotions page. So, whenever he changes a promotion, the data in the embedded report is updated in real time. To note, these changes only show on the Promotion page, not in the CBP data.
- Use Lightning App Builder to add the SmartUI RTR Component to the Promotions page.
- Enter the report name:

- In the UI Mapping field of this lightning component, enter the name of the component added in the UIMapping section of the report metadata JSON:

- Save and activate the page.

Gustavo can now see the Account Promotion Scorecard report on the Promotions page.
Implement the Learnings
For Gustavo, his recently acquired CBP knowledge means he’s free from multiple spreadsheets and time wasted figuring out which products and promotions need attention. With one glance at a CBP or account plan view, he has all the numbers needed to make quick and meaningful decisions.

Using KPIs, such as baseline projections, and business plan scenarios, you're now all set to create and activate effective CBPs for your key customer accounts.
