Salesforce has introduced great feature enhancements over the past year. Let’s take a look at some of the more important ones for Platform Strategy Designers.

Seller-Focused Mobile Experience

Deliver a fast, native experience for sellers on the go with the Seller-Focused Mobile Experience app, available for Android and iOS phones and tablets. Sellers can easily view and update accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities in their preferred mobile environment. Enable sellers to keep deals on track by quickly finding information, making calls, sending emails, and acting on upcoming tasks and events in the activity timeline. Add Einstein Copilot capabilities to the app to make that work even easier.

Ask Einstein

Einstein Copilot is available to users with the Use Einstein Copilot for Salesforce user permission. Users simply tap the Ask Einstein button and, through voice or text input, ask Einstein Copilot to find and summarize records or generate emails.

Use Seller-Focused Mobile Experience on a Tablet

Tablet users benefit from a unique tablet-optimized experience, different from a phone view. Tablets offer a split-screen view that works in portrait and landscape modes, so users have options to focus or multitask.

Swipe left on a contact and select the email icon to bring up a menu of email options. Use your default device email client, Gmail, or work with Lightning Email to send emails without ever leaving the app. Lightning Email provides access to templates, tracking, automatic logging, and meeting links.

Additional Features of the Seller-Focused Mobile Experience:

  • Data capture is streamlined with contact import and business card scanning right from the app.
  • Calendar options include a 1, 3, or 5-day view and optimized tablet views.
  • The native Salesforce app is fast, requiring fewer network calls, but users still have options to switch to a hybrid view.
  • Choose in-app or push notifications to keep users engaged with their workflow.

Access Seller-Focused Mobile Experience

The Sales Cloud Mobile Experience is available for all orgs with a Sales Cloud license at no extra cost. All new and existing orgs will find an org preference in Mobile setup enabled by default. Admins must assign the Salesforce Mobile App: Native Seller Experience permission for users to see the Sales Cloud Mobile app in the App Launcher on mobile.

To give your mobile workforce access:

  • Create a permission set with the permission Salesforce Mobile App: Native Seller Experience and assign it to yourself.
  • Download the latest version of the Salesforce mobile app, and select Sales Cloud Mobile in the app launcher.

Users access the Seller-Focused Mobile Experience by launching it from within the Salesforce mobile app.

  1. In the Salesforce mobile app, tap Menu.
  2. Tap App Launcher.
  3. Select Sales Cloud Mobile.
  4. Seller-Focused Mobile Experience opens.

The Seller-Focused Mobile Experience is available on phones and tablets in all editions, except Database.com.

Agentforce Sales Coach

Agentforce Sales Coach is an autonomous sales agent built on the Agentforce platform. Using generative AI and CRM data, it provides sellers with stage-specific feedback to help push deals forward and boost return on investment (ROI). Explore a high-level overview of what Agentforce Sales Coach is, how it works, and how it can help your sellers thrive in their roles.

Agentforce Sales Coach (ASC) provides deal-specific, personalized feedback to sales reps on their customer communication and messaging. ASC accesses CRM data to support sales reps with the deals they’re working on. Sales reps can practice their pitch and then receive instant feedback tailored to the deal and the specific stage the deal is in.

AI-Generated Coaching

Agentforce Sales Coach uses AI-generated feedback based on specific criteria, particularly the opportunity stage. Each opportunity stage supported by ASC has its own prompt template with stage-specific questions that the agent expects the sales rep to answer. The agent analyzes answers, cross-references to CRM data, and generates feedback into categories, making the feedback easier for reps to understand. ASC simulates a customer or buyer in facilitated role-play scenarios and provides personalized, objective feedback for each scenario.

Benefits of Agentforce Sales Coach

Sales managers can tailor Agentforce Sales Coach to address key business challenges and reinforce measurable outcomes, by incorporating insights from jobs to be done (JTBD) and journey maps. Agentforce Sales Coach allows for customized prompts to address specific areas where sellers need more consistent coaching, and to align coaching with identified business goals.

  • Sellers can practice pitching, negotiating, or handling objections before meeting customers.
  • Managers have more time to focus on critical moments in the pipeline rather than coaching reps through practice sessions.
  • Sales teams can readily scale up by providing every seller with a dedicated coach.
  • The Sales Coach agent follows preset guidelines to ensure coaching is consistent and objective.

Required Features

ASC is available in Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Agentforce Sales Coach add-on.

To properly operate, access CRM data, and generate feedback, Agentforce Sales Coach uses:

  • Einstein Copilot to configure and manage events
  • Einstein Generative AI to power prompt templates and guide the large language model (LLM) to generate feedback
  • Agent Studio to configure topics and actions, power the Sales Coach agent, and equip the agent to role-play and generate feedback
  • Data Cloud to host files and support retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

Put Agentforce to work for your sales teams while ensuring that your data remains secure with the Einstein Trust Layer. Agent responses can be grounded in data sources you choose to address defined business goals that reinforce sales growth.

Accessibility Enhancement in Analytics

Learn about small but important changes to CRM Analytics and Lightning Report and Dashboard that make analytics more accessible.

  • Contrast, keyboard navigation, focus order, and assistive text are enhanced for the Home and Browse tabs, Watchlist, and Notifications panel.
  • Action completion and screen change announcements are added.
  • Descriptive assistive text enhancements have been added for Collections.

CRM Analytics changes apply to CRM Analytics in Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. Lightning Report and Dashboard changes apply to Lightning Experience in Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

Sort List Views by Multiple Columns

To see your data in a more intuitive way and make your list views more viable, you can now sort list views on object home pages by up to five columns. Select the columns to sort by and whether to sort each column in ascending or descending order. To return to sorting by a single column, click a column header that isn’t included in your multiple-column sort. Sorting by multiple columns affects only your user preferences, and you can’t save your multicolumn sorting configuration as a default.

To sort a list view by multiple columns, from a list view, click Sort by multiple columns and then select the columns to include in the sort. Click Apply.

Sort by Multiple Columns configured for Close Date and Amount.

For example, create an Opportunities list view sorted by Close Date and then by Amount. Or create a Cases list view that’s sorted by Contact Name, then by Priority, and then by Date/Time Opened. Your list sort configuration is saved until you modify or clear it. To return to the default sort order, click List view controls, and then select Reset Column Sorting.

This change applies to Lightning Experience in all editions except Starter and Pro Suite.
