Import Data Asynchronously
An integral part of running an online store is managing your data. D2C Commerce has you covered on two fronts: store data and Data Cloud integration.
Your new store needs data–product data, customer data, catalog data, category data, price book data, and other operational support data. To help you import your existing or new data, D2C Commerce supports initiating a data import from inside the app. Data imports initiated from the app are asynchronous–you can set up an import session and move on to complete other jobs without impacting system performance. Using the import option, you can import products, product variations, product images, and price book data directly into your store. You can also import data for a particular store or globally so that any D2C Commerce store can access it. To help you get started, the app includes a link to an import CSV file template that you can download and customize to your needs.
Later, you learn how you can integrate with your Data Cloud data to create personalized customer connections.
Manage Profiles and Permissions
Essential to managing your store website is the job of setting up and configuring the profiles and permissions for all the users who need access to D2C Commerce on your org. A typical D2C Commerce implementation involves several task-based user personas, including commerce administrator, merchandiser, and developer. If you’ve ever set up permissions and profiles manually, you’re gonna love the preconfigured user and profile feature that D2C Commerce offers. Just assign a profile to a user and assign the appropriate preconfigured permission. Need to customize permissions? No problem. You can customize the preconfigured permissions or create your own as needed.
Success by Numbers with Commerce Dashboards
The Commerce Dashboards are another D2C Commerce tool that help you successfully manage your D2C store website. The dashboards present payment, promotion, and finance metrics. The initial setup process is simple: It’s a single click and part of the quick store setup.
Your commerce teams can use the dashboards to make informed decisions about how to optimize your online storefront, increase sales, and enhance customer satisfaction. With real-time data at your fingertips, you can identify trends, spot opportunities, and address any potential issues promptly.
Here’s a quick look at what the dashboards offer.
