Set Up Borrower Access to Mortgage Applications in Experience Cloud Sites

Learning Objectives

After completing this module, you’ll be able to:

  • Create a community user profile for borrowers.
  • Assign the borrower profile to an Experience Cloud site.
  • Update the site home page.
  • Update the site record detail page.
  • Identify the objects supported by out-of-the-box components and pages in Experience Builder templates.

Create a Community User Profile for Borrowers

Matt gets started by creating a customer community profile with access to mortgage objects and document checklist items for borrowers like Richard. Experience Cloud provides a secure centralized platform for borrowers and loan officers to meet and transact.

Note

Ensure that sites (Digital Experiences) are enabled for your organization.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Profiles, then select Profiles.
  2. On the Profiles page, click Clone next to the Customer Community Login User, the Customer Community Plus Login User, the Customer Community Plus User, or the Customer Community User profile.
  3. On the Clone Profile page, enter Borrower for the cloned profile name and save.
  4. On the Borrower Profile page, click Edit.
  5. Under Standard Object Permissions, enable Read access for Document Checklist Item.
  6. Under Standard Object Permissions, enable Read, Create, Edit, and Delete access for the following:
    1. Loan Applicants
    2. Loan Applicant Addresses
    3. Loan Applicant Assets
    4. Loan Applicant Declarations
    5. Loan Applicant Employments
    6. Loan Applicant Incomes
    7. Loan Applicant Liabilities
    8. Loan Application Assets
    9. Loan Application Financials
    10. Loan Application Liabilities
    11. Loan Application Properties
    12. Loan Application Title Holders
    13. Residential Loan Applications.
  7. Save your changes.

Assign the Borrower Profile to an Experience Cloud Site

Next, Matt assigns the borrower profile to a customer site.

Note

Ensure that sites (Digital Experiences) are enabled and you have at least one customer site created for your organization.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Digital Experiences, then select All Sites.
  2. On the All Sites page, click Workspaces next to the site you want to assign the borrower profile to.
Sofia services clients like Richard who’re based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and there’s already a site for that. So Matt chooses the SF Bay Area site.
  3. Click the Administration tile.
  4. Click Members in the left pane.
  5. Under Select Profiles, select Customer in the search dropdown list.
  6. Under Available Profiles, select Borrower, click Add, and then click Save.

Update Your Experience Cloud Site Home Page

Matt must now update the home page of the SF Bay Area site: he adds the Record List component to the home page to display a list of residential loan applications.

Note

Ensure that sites (Digital Experiences) are enabled and you have at least one customer site created for your organization.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Digital Experiences, then select All Sites.
  2. On the All Sites page, click Builder next to the site where you want to update the home page. Matt chooses the SF Bay Area site.
  3. On the home page, drag the Record List component onto the page.
  4. In the Record List property window, set Object Name to Residential Loan Application.
  5. Publish the changes to your site.

Update Experience Cloud Site Record Detail Page

Matt’s now ready to add mortgage flows and a list of document checklist items to the Record Detail page of the SF Bay Area site.

Note

Ensure that sites (Digital Experiences) are enabled and you have at least one customer site created for your organization.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Digital Experiences, then select All Sites.
  2. On the All Sites page, click Builder next to the site where you want to update the record detail page. Matt chooses the SF Bay Area site.
  3. On the home page, click the dropdown arrow to the right of Home and select Record Detail.
  4. Drag the Flow component onto the page.
  5. In the Flow property window, set Flow to the name of your borrower flow, and enable Pass record ID into this variable.
  6. Drag another Flow component onto the page.
  7. In the Flow property window, set Flow to the name of your assets and liabilities flow, and enable Pass record ID into this variable.
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for other mortgage flows that you want your users to fill out.
  9. Drag the Record List component onto the page.
  10. In the Record List property window, set Object Name to Document Checklist Item.
  11. Publish the changes to your site.
