Set Up Basic User Access to Mortgage Features
Learning Objectives
After completing this module, you’ll be able to:
- Assign the mortgage permission set.
- Create and assign the Loan Officer and Underwriter permission sets.
Let’s Begin
Imagine that you’re the Salesforce admin at Cumulus Mortgage, configuring the feature so all loan officers and underwriters at the company can use Mortgages for Financial Services Cloud to automate the residential loan application process.
To get things rolling, you use the mortgage permission set to assign users like Sofia, the loan officer, licenses to the mortgage feature and document checklist items.
In this module, we assume you are a Financial Services Cloud administrator with the proper permissions to take these actions. If you’re not an administrator for Financial Services Cloud, that’s OK. Read along to learn how your administrator would take the steps in a production org. Don't try to follow these steps in your Trailhead Playground. Financial Services Cloud isn't available in the Trailhead Playground.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter
Permission Sets
and then select Permission Sets.
- On the Permission Sets Setup page, click Mortgage.
- Click Manage Assignments and then click Add Assignments.
- Select the users who need access to the Mortgage license, click Assign, and click Done.
- Back on the Permission Sets Setup page, click the name of a document checklist permission set with a Document Checklist license that you want to assign. You may need to set this up first in your org.
- Click Manage Assignments and then click Add Assignments.
- Select the users who need access to the Document Checklist license, click Assign, and click Done.
Your users are now set up with the permission they need.
Create Enhanced Mortgage User Permission Sets
Different Mortgage users need different access to both mortgage and document checklist objects. Some mortgage users run flows and create Experience Cloud site users.
